Caledonian Pines

Loch Tulla, Argyll, Scotland

A beautiful Summers morning, not a breath of wind, stunning scenery what more could a photographer want? In a word - fewer of the dreaded Scottish midges. Ok, that's more than one word, but you know what I mean. Not only were they annoying and biting, but this photograph was taken using a panoramic film camera, which when the back is opened to change film, presents a wonderful cavern for them to rush into. A number of shots came back from the lab with crisp renditions in silhouette of squashed midges showing on the transparency. Ah well, at least thats a few less of the blighters.
