Auchmithie, Angus, Scotland

At low tide, rocky outcrops with embedded pebbles extend in to the North Sea from Auchmithie beach. They mirror the old harbour wall not just by being parallel, but also due to the fact that they are both suffering the effects of coastal erosion. Taken about half an hour before sunrise, I used a long exposure to smooth the incoming waves.
