Skye, not only has some of the most impressive British mountains in the Cuillin range, but also some of the best coastal regions. Here I combined both aspects on this calm Summer's evening. The peak of Garbh Bheinn was reflected on the waters of Loch Slapin and the drifting mottled clouds echoed the scattering of seaweed covered stones on the foreshore. As luck would have it, a slight breeze ruffled the distant waters producing a vital part of the composition. This lighter area gave an important degree of separation between the mountains and their reflections.
