The storm of the previous day was starting to ease to a mere gale as I perched on the cliff top at dawn, steadying my tripod and waiting for a break in the clouds. Eventually the clouds parted and let a finger of light percolate the gloom for a few brief seconds, illuminating the rocky shoreline as it was pounded by the churning surf.
