A pleasant summers evening spent photographing the farmland in this area was rounded off nicely by this sunset. I was attracted by the copse of trees sitting atop the rolling hills. As I waited, the light from the setting sun filtered through the hazy clouds on the horizon to touch the clouds. The panoramic format helped make the most of the fingers of clouds that were present in the sky. This image was made just after sunset, being happy with it, I was ready to pack up and head home, but decided to ignore the hunger pains and wait to see if anything might happen. I was glad I did, as can be seen here. Photo © copyright by Graham Chalmers.
