Castle Stalker must be one of the most photographed castles in Scotland due to its location and stunning scenery. My hopes of a sunset seemed dashed by the thick layer of cloud hanging over Loch Linnhe. After waiting for half an hour after sunset, I decided to pack up and head back to my car. As I was doing so, I noticed a feint glimmer of colour in the western sky. I hurriedly set up my gear and captured this spectacular scene as the sky exploded with color. Five minutes later, it was all over. Almost the one that got away! Another version can be seen in Stalker Afterglow which shows the amazing transformation a few minutes can make.
